Dekon Group has established a National Key Laboratory Innovation Base for Pig and Poultry Seeds Industry, Southwest Pig Breeding and Expansion Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Key Laboratory of Poultry Genetic Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture, National Spark Program Leading Enterprise Technology Innovation Center, National Pig Technology Innovation Center-Breeding Technology Research and Development Center, and Southwest Branch of the National Pig Health Collaborative Innovation Center. The Group owns two national core pig breeding farms, one national core broiler breeding farm and one national Huiyang bearded chicken breeding conservation farm, and is honored as a national livestock and poultry breeding formation enterprise.
In recent years, leveraging its technological innovation and genetic breeding system, Dekon Group has undertaken more than 50 major national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, including the National 863 Program and the 948 Major Special Project. In 2026, Dekon Group, as one of the principal research institutions involved in the project “Breeding Technology and Development and Application of Core Genetic Resources for Chinese Pig Breeds,” received the First Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. Dekon Group’s high-quality slaughtering and food processing projects are now operational in Yibin and Meishan, Sichuan, and Suqian, Jiangsu. Guided by its development principle of “build one and make one a success,” the Group is steadily expanding its food business and strengthening the supply of high-quality meat products.
Actively Practicing AI Breeding
Dekon Group continues to advance its AIOT breeding practices, applying AI and IoT technologies to breeding production process management, disease monitoring and protection, biosafety management, and intelligent device management. These technologies help improve production efficiency and lean management while enabling end-to-end traceability of food safety.
Through the integration of business operations and IT, the Group continues to promote the deployment and application of systems at key stages of production. The best practice program for the “Dekon Intelligent Breeding Cloud Platform” has been put into operation, and the “Intelligent Data Acquisition Method Based on Computer Vision Image Recognition” has been granted a national invention patent.
