On May 16, the group headquarters held a seminar on the breeding direction of Dekon breeding pig and pig production management. Brian Sullivan, President of Canadian Centre for Swine Improvement (CCSI) and Genetic Breeding Expert, Alfred Wahl, President of Canadian Polar Genetics Group and Senior Expert in Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Wahl Dave, CCSI Representative in China and Expert in Pig Farm Management, Fu Gang, Director of the Production Science and Education Department under Sichuan Provincial Animal Husbandry Foodstuff Bureau, Dr. Li Baotang, a famous animal nutrition expert in Canada, and well-known pig breeding experts in China, such as Wu De, Lv Xuebin and Zhu Li gathered together to study and discuss the production of Dekon breeding pigs and the production management of pig farms.

Wang Degen, Chairman of Dekon Group, Hu Wei, Vice Chairman and President of Dekon Group, Yao Hailong, Vice President of Dekon Group and Head of the Pig Industry Sector, Bai Ruping, Director of the Pig Production Technology Department of Dekon Group, and heads of each section of the Management Department and relevant personnel from the Technology Department attended the meeting.

Wang Degen stated in his speech that the key for agricultural and animal husbandry enterprises to compete with others in the future lies in whether they can make the best products. Only through down-to-earth improvements at the technical level can they provide consumers with truly good products, which is the key of Dekon’s differentiated development. He hoped to continuously optimize the Dekon’s breeding and farming system through full communication with well-known breeding experts at home and abroad and ultimately promote the overall improvement of the group’s breeding level.

Afterwards, according to the current production performance of Dekon and the characteristics of the current domestic consumer market, the experts present at the meeting gave suggestions on the existing breeding direction of Dekon, and discussed the new situation that Dekon met in the process of pig production, and provided the corresponding optimization plans.

After fully analyzing and demonstrating the production and genetic breeding data of Zigong Dekon, Brian Sullivan, President of CCSI and Genetic Breeding Expert, pointed out that Dekon’s breeding pigs have excellent performance, and many indicators are among the best in the CCSI database. At the same time, domestic breeding experts have also said that Dekon, through its own efforts, has cultivated efficient breeding pigs with excellent production performance that are more in line with China’s national conditions on the basis of Canadian breeding pigs, which not only demonstrates Dekon’s new achievements in genetic breeding work, but also provides high-end provenance support for the development and industrialization of lean-type pigs across the country.

Canadian Centre for Swine Improvement (CCSI) is currently the largest technical support and service organization for swine genetic improvement in Canada. It has 30 years of data resources in the pig farming industry, provides standardized organization and technical support for Canadian pig breeding by providing software, data analysis and breeding skills training to Canadian breeding pig producers, and is committed to providing targeted genetic improvement solutions to the pig farming industry worldwide to help companies cultivate better quality pigs.
