On July 22, 2017, Chen Yiqin, Deputy Secretary of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Political and Legal Affairs Committee under the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, conducted a survey in Jianga Township, Zhenning County, accompanied by Li Zuoxun, Deputy Secretary General of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, Yuan Jiayu, Director of the Guizhou Provincial Agriculture Committee, Zeng Yongtao, Secretary of the Anshun Municipal Party Committee, and Pang Kun, Secretary of the Zhenning Autonomous County Party Committee.
Jianga Township is one of the 20 extremely poor townships in Guizhou Province, and 8 villages in the township belong to Class I poverty-stricken villages, with a poverty incidence of nearly 54%. Therefore, the task of poverty alleviation is arduous. Chen Yiqin, Deputy Secretary of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, served as the commander in chief of poverty alleviation, and commanded the poverty alleviation work in Jianga Township. Guizhou Provincial Agriculture Committee was responsible for implementation and supervision.
In November 2016, Zhenning Autonomous County signed a framework agreement with the Group. The government integrated the poverty alleviation funds of RMB 145 million yuan to invest in the construction of 100 family farms in Jiancha Township, with an annual output of 100,000 pigs, and each family farm drove 10 poverty-stricken households. At present, 1,000-pig family farms in Moshang No. 1 farm, Jianga Township have started to raise pigs, and No. 2 farm will raise pigs on August 15. After a 3-hour rush, Secretary Chen and her delegation went straight to Moshang Village to visit. They completed the disinfection procedures required by the company, and then entered the pig farm. Secretary Chen inquired about the daily feeding and vaccine immunization in detail, and asked the company to do a good job in pig farm’s epidemic prevention and pig health care to ensure the interests of pig farmers.
Zhenning Dekon Company now has completed the construction and site selection of 100,000-pig family farm, and has completed and put into operation 2 units, and raised 1,000 pigs; 23 units will be completed prior to September.
After visiting the family farm in Moshang Village, Secretary Chen and her delegation rushed to Boxi Village. There are eight family farms with a scale of 1,000 pigs in Boxi Village, and all of them have completed the leveling work. The main project is under construction and will be completed in September to raise 8,000 pigs. Looking at the busy workers on the construction site, Secretary Chen asked the company to accelerate the progress of the project on the basis of ensuring construction safety, and strive to raise pigs soon, so that the pig farmers can get benefits as soon as possible.
After the visit, at the poverty alleviation symposium, Secretary Chen, as the commander in charge of poverty alleviation in Jiancha Township, expressed satisfaction that the company could raise pigs on schedule in the case of continuous rain for a month in Jiancha Township, and she hoped that the company could complete the project construction as scheduled, and complete the pig-raising plan of 25,000 pigs throughout the year. Secretary Chen said: “the poverty alleviation work has entered a critical period, and it is imperative to get rid of poverty. Large enterprises like Dekon Group must shoulder social responsibilities, and give full play to its backbone force in poverty alleviation. While developing breeding industry, we must pay attention to environmental protection issues, and must not sacrifice ecological environmental protection because of development”. Finally, Secretary Chen asked the government to actively integrate “concessional loans”, and fully introduce financial institutions to provide financial support for the breeding industry.
