On February 12, 2018, Chen Yiqin, Deputy Secretary of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Guizhou Province, conducted a poverty alleviation survey at the Zhenning Dekon Family Farm. Liu Guofeng, Vice Chairman of Dekon Group, received Chen Yiqin and her delegation. This was the third visit of Secretary Chen Yiqin to the Zhenning Dekon Family Farm, and also the first visit after the first batch of pigs were slaughtered in Jianga Township, Zhenning Autonomous County, Anshun City.

After entering the farm of Ye Daobing, the owner of Dekon Family Farm, Chen Yiqin was deeply impressed by Dekon’s standardized breeding houses, automated equipment and facilities, clean and odorless indoor environment. When Chen Yiqin learned that with the strong support of Dekon, the farmer raised 1,000 pigs in the first batch and would receive a pure agency breeding fee of around RMB 140,000 yuan in six months, and 10 poverty-stricken households would increase their annual income by RMB 4,000 yuan, she said happily that Dekon Group took the initiative to benefit the farmers when carrying out targeted poverty alleviation work in Zhenning County, and still guaranteed that the agency breeding fees of the farmers were not affected when the current market was depressed, and then effectively encouraged local impoverished households to increase their income, indicating that Dekon is an enterprise with a high sense of social responsibility, and Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and provincial government will continue to strongly support Dekon Family Farm project in the future.

Chen Yiqin pointed out that this year is a crucial year for Guizhou Province to fight against poverty and achieve collective prosperity. She hopes that Dekon Group will further expand its scale and strengthen its brand, improve its interest linkage mechanism, and better play a crucial role in poverty alleviation work as a leading enterprise.
